Brewer’s Choice Red Can: Thiolized | Tall Cans (473ml)

“Thiols” have been a buzzword in the craft beer world for a few years now, but we feel that they are often misunderstood – so we brewed a beer to fix that! This experimental ale is a quaffable and light aromatic delight; bursting with exotic thiol-driven fruit flavour including papaya, peach, gooseberry, guava, and grapefruit. We achieved this by selecting a special yeast strain famous for displaying vigorous biotransformation, using it to ferment a simple grain base of Pilsner Malt supported by flaked rice and corn that we bittered with our favourite, BC cascade hops.

By keeping our hop additions light, tweaking our process to favour the creation of thiol precursors and retention of thiols, and using a special thiolizing yeast, we have created an enlightening drinking experience that showcases the incredible flavour impact thiol forward beers can achieve.
